Frontier Networks awarded Tokyo GX subsidy

Frontier Networks Inc., a 50:50 joint venture between Japan Interconnector and Frontier Power Ltd (UK), has been awarded a green transformation (“GX”) subsidy by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (“TMG”). The GX subsidy is payable over four years to support Frontier Networks’ business growth in Tokyo and Japan more widely. Our submission was one of seven selected from 68 companies in a competitive process. We believe TMG recognised our potential contribution for GX especially in relation to subsea power cables for remote islands in Tokyo prefecture, offshore wind and regional transmission projects. In relation to this subsidy award, Frontier Networks has opened a new office in Toyosu at the following address: Toyosu Sail Park Building, 1-9-2 Toyosu, Koto-ku, Tokyo.
